The Adaptable Standard Poodle
We love our Beaucaniche Poodles, they are intelligent, loving, and highly adaptable. Standard Poodles make wonderful family pets. They love to be with you, know what you are doing and are very affectionate. They are also very intelligent and eager to learn. These traits, combined with the athletic build of the Poodle makes them excel at a myriad of sports. Standards are also patient and will sit happily while you groom them which is necessary for conformation.

I have always loved my Standard Poodles as an integral part of my family. Realising that proper structure is a vital necessity to breeding excellent dogs I have learned firsthand how to care for and show poodles. During this venture I have observed many Standard Poodles, in action, in the show ring as well as in obedience and agility. It is my contention that the Standard Poodle is an excellent breed for these activities as well as hunting, rally and dance.

What's New at Beaucaniche?


2011/Aug/09:    Our girls: Bellefleet Raven Lucky Lizette, Beaucaniche Raven Misstarry and Beaucaniche Raven Marlisse received their United Kennel Club Permanent Registration Certificates. Now they are both Canadian Kennel Club and United Kennel Club Registered. We look forward to participating in UKC sanctioned events and plan on attending Lure Coursing Trials. 2011/Aug/17:    Bellefleet Raven Lucky Lizette began her Agility Classes at Details. She seems to really enjoy it..and is a quick learner.

2011/Sep/10:   Congratulations to Beaucaniche Chocolate Ransom on passing his grade one group obedience.

2011/Oct/15:   Lucky Lizette and Raven Marlisse both earned Canine Good Neighbour awards at the London Canine Association Show today.

2011/Nov/6:   Raven Marlisse is the proud mom to 10 pups. 2 black girls, 1 brown girl, 3 brown boys and 4 black boys. Look for a weekly photo gallery of them coming the week of Nov.19th

After a day of retrieving, your Lab wants to curl up in front of the fireplace and take a well deserved nap. A Poodle wants to be fourth at the bridge table and tell naughty stories! All poodle owners know this one's true!
